Interview with a VR legend

I interviewed Prof Mel Slater in 2013 about the future of Virtual Reality. I described to him how much my friends and I used to love pumping 20p pieces into arcade games at the local video shop or bowling alley during my childhood. I said I thought it was sad that people these days tend to play games from home, rather than “going out” to play games together; physically together side by side in the arcade. This was all building up to the big question on my mind back then: will VR ever get good enough to inspire a comeback for the good old video arcade. And this is what he said…
