PWC donate VR headsets to our Cause
At a recent XR Hackathon hosted by Price Waterhouse Coopers, I approached the head of Immersive to ask what they were doing with their old Meta Quest 2 headsets.
It occurred to me that as they were probably upgrading to Quest 3’s, there might be a load of Quest 2 headsets gathering dust on their employees shelves.
As luck would have it this is something that the Immersive team were actively discussing over the summer and they would be reaching a decision in the autumn of 2024.
I asked if they would be willing to donate a few VR headsets to the Brain Man VR cause - making learning maths more fun and effective with a unique blend of VR, AI and neuroscience.
Would you believe it, they only went and said “yes!”
I found out earlier in the month that they were willing to donate ten VR headsets to our cause, so I popped down to their offices opposite the Tower of London to pick them up.
We were absolutely delighted to find that they were in excellent condition and so we will now be able to reach even more schools with our innovate EdTech solution to solving GCSE maths for learners.
Turns out a backpack and a large suitcase are the perfect dimensions for carrying Quest 2 headsets (including capsule-shaped carry cases).
Brain Man VR would like to extend a huge thank you to PWC for their generosity and in particular Jeremy Dalton.
If you know of any 12-14 year olds who would like to participate in user testing for the 0.2 version of Pizza Maths, we would be delighted to come to your school with our new fleet of headsets.
Please drop us a line if you would like to suggest a school that might be interested in learning how VR can transform their students’ experience of learning maths.
